What Can I Expect During
Treatment?

Before the procedure, you’ll need to book a complimentary consultation with one of our Skinnotion injectors, where you will discuss the procedure and decide if it is right for you. To begin your treatment, local anaesthesia is used to reduce pain as much as possible. A transparent grid will then be placed onto your chin, acting as a guide to ensure accuracy of injections and ensuring smooth, balanced results. The number of injections for a single session may range between 20 and 50 depending on the individual. These are completed in around 20 minutes, followed by a 10 minute icepack application to reduce pain and swelling.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

This will depend on your desired outcome and the quantity of submental (chin) fat in the area. Significant chin fat often requires multiple sessions to achieve the best results. Subsequent sessions are scheduled four to six weeks after the first session.

Are my results permanent?

Yes, you’ll enjoy a permanent improvement of your chin contour as the targeted fat cells disappear. This is because the treatment destroys fat cells in the area. However, excessive weight gain following your treatment may reverse your results by expanding the remaining fat cells in the area. Therefore, we recommend you follow a healthy diet and exercise plan to limit dietary fat and maintain your results.
